Blood Star has an awesome soundtrack and in particular the tracks by THE BONNEVILLES and THE MANDELBROT SHAKES. In the opening title sequence Bobbi sings along to the lyrics of the song playing on the car radio.
HELL
No were to run, no were to hide
The things I’ve done and I’m afraid to die
I’ve shown no mercy to a man on his knees
Don’t expect to get none when it comes to me
Lucifers tongue is tickling my ear
he’s telling me all the things that I don’t want to hear
He says I owe him for the price of a soul
Its the big payback for the years that I stole
THE BONNEVILLES
The Bonnevilles are shaking Northern Ireland in a way it hasn’t felt since Van Morrison & Them obliterated Club Rado in 1964 and Stiff Little Fingers blew apart The Trident in 1977! The Bonnevilles don’t so much play punk blues as use it as a spring board to create a completely new genre. The Lurgan duo take Mississippi Hill Blues and Punk Rock and mix into their own unique dark Northern Irish Punk Blues stew.
We also have two stunning tracks from The Mandelbrot Shakes, “You Better Run” and “Loosing Your Way”
The Mandelbrot Shakes are a garage punk trash blues duo from the UK. ”Shake It! is an absolute riot of a triumphal debut album.
